Penang is one of the most fascinating and diverse destinations in Malaysia. It’s an island located on the western shores of the country, connected to the mainland by bridge. It’s known for its UNESCO world heritage site of Georgetown, which is decorated with colonial buildings and street art. The island is also where you’ll find stunning beaches, gorgeous ancient temples, and hearty food (locals call it the food capital of Malaysia, and there’s a reason for it). Borneo is this mystic land known for its untamed rainforest and unique jungle wildlife such as pigmy elephants, proboscis monkeys, clouded leopards, sun bears, tigers, and most famous of all – the Bornean orangutans. But any visitor to Borneo today will be shocked by what lies in front of them. Where the rainforest once stood, more than 50% of it has been cut down since the 80s, making way for palm oil plantations, mainly. Chinatown is one of the most bustling areas of Bangkok and is full of activities and things to do. It’s one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city and offers a unique contrast from the high-rise, spangly skyscrapers you see elsewhere. If you’re looking for somewhere authentic and unique to spend your days in Bangkok, you should not miss a visit to the Chinatown district. But Chinatown is huge, and it can feel overwhelming if you don’t know what to expect. Travel Packing

Boracay Island in the Philippines reminded me of Thailand fifteen years ago. Except for the famous White Beach – that was a little too much like Hat Rin on a full moon. Boracay Island has attracted the backpacker crowd over the years. And who can blame them? It has a reputation for being absolutely gorgeous – and having been, I can vouch it certainly lives up to that. Boracay Island

Boracay Island is the most famous island in The Philippines and certainly the most visited. In fact, the government closed it for six months in 2018 to preserve its natural beauty. The love for nature and keeping the country beautiful is one of the things I love about The Philippines. Everything about Filipino culture is about respect. Respect for their family, humankind, and the environment.

If you’ve been hanging around the stifling hot and bustling metropolis of Bangkok for a while, then it’s high time you took a day trip to somewhere more peaceful. An Ayutthaya day trip offers just that – peace. Of course, it’s steaming hot in Ayutthaya; I don’t think Thailand knows any other way, but if you opt to explore the ancient ruins by bike, you can feel a gentle breeze that picks up as soon as you start pedaling and slip into a blissful motion. For centuries, Thai people have been using Bangkok’s klongs (canals) to transport and trade goods as floating markets. It’s an unmissable thing to do in Bangkok. Bbqs
