Fun and engaging algebra activities for Algebra 1 and 8th Grade Algebra students
If you have my Algebra Activities Bundle, all of the activities in this post have been added to it. If you haven't re-downloaded the bundle in a while (this is free to do), you'll now find "print and digital" added to the names of many of the files. These have been updated with digital links. So please re-download! I am excited to get these to you. And more to come! Below are jut a few of the algebra activities I've updated with digital versions...
An engaging digital escape room for solving linear equations word problems. Students must unlock 5 locks by answering 20 questions. Questions include: - identify the correct linear equation that describes a word problem. - Solve for an output (ex: find a plant's height after 7 days) - Solve for an input (ex: find the number of minutes it will take to fill a 60-ounce container).
Digital math escape rooms make fun end of year math review activities for your middle and high school math classes. As they work through each math escape room, students must enter codes that will unlock each of 5 locks. Each digital escape room is one answer-validated Google Form, with no outside links. This way, the math escape rooms are super simple to assign and for students to understand. Browse over 50 digital math escape rooms here.
An engaging digital math escape room for reviewing polynomials. Students work their way through this math escape room naming polynomials, adding polynomials, subtracting polynomials, multiplying quadratic binomials, multiplying difference of squares and simplifying squared binomials. The entire math escape is contained on one Google Form with no outside links, making it super simple to send to students as an algebra review.
Every algebra activity in this post now comes in both print and digital form within the same file (the digital versions are linked inside the printable PDFs). In most cases, the digital versions were updates to their printables, though I have been also making some digital-only algebra activities. More at scaffoldedmath.com
