The Great Northern did not have the most extensive suburban London network - and various parts of it were, in the 1930s, to be transferred to London Transport as part of the Underground's Northern line. The timetable, centered on Kings Cross and Moorgate, included the lines out to Cambridge, High Barnet, Edgware and Alexandra Palace.
