In SACI’s Maidoff Gallery, Massimiliano Turco presents his artistic research focusing on signs and gestures. He uses leftover and found pieces of marble from the local quarries as supports for his drawings. In other works, he unrolls a long sheet of glossy paper ‘au plein air’ in abandoned quarries, letting the paper be moved freely by the wind, a drawing is created at the mercy of the weather—with abrasions, cracks, and creases. The 2-person exhibition REMIS is a intermingling of photographic and multimedia works by Bärbel Reinhard and Marco Signorini that puzzles our perception. The artists confront their works together, revisiting and adapting them to the space and to one another. The two photographers, through collaboration, animate and transform their exhibition into a multi-sensory and multimedia journey in which the two artists' works overlap, merge, and complement each other while still remaining distinguishable.
