Del Webb Sun Cities Museum | Sun City, Arizona | Historical Society
Sun Cities Museum. Small museum but a great step back in time. Authentic right down to the colors and decorations. If you're on the west side of Phoenix this is worth a quick visit. 10801 Oakmont Drive, Sun City, AZ 85351 | 623.974.2568 | Check out other Phoenix gems: www.pinterest.com/lisanr2012/fun-friday
1960s billboard advertising Liberace, in person at the Sun Bowl in Sun City. This is along Grand Avenue near I-17. The railroad tracks are still there, as is that sign at far right. At least the shape, it doesn't say Goodyear anymore, or tell the time. Look for it as you approach the Thomas Road exit.
Phoenix Pictures (Mesa, Glendale, Scottsdale: hotels, houses, neighborhoods) - Arizona (AZ)
Sun City, AZ. The view from the sky of this city just northwest of Phoenix is remarkable. Phoenix's square miles of gridlock are also very impressive and more extensive, but these few circles stand out in the metro area. However, low speed limits and confusing layouts definitely are a sacrifice of functionality for design in Sun City.
