Lab: Multi-Mass Marble

Product details
In this lab, students will demonstrate and observe the Law of Force and Acceleration, using marbles and an incline, to understand how different sized masses can affect the amount of force and acceleration of an object in motion.
This lab allows students to participate in a group at a single table. Set this lab up at multiple tables so that the whole class can perform the lab. This lab can also be done as a teacher-demonstrated lab.
This activity includes the files for the lab pamphlet, answer key, and lab instructions with pictures! There's also a tutorial video that could be used for a virtual lab.
This is a fun lab that can be setup quickly (with prepared supplies) and can be completed by students in a single period (30 to 45 minutes).
Required materials (per table): 1 meter track, marbles (three sizes or three of the same sixe), timer, foam cup w/ hole cut out, and digital scale or triple beam balance
