Shark stalks crocodile through shallow water off the coast of Australia

This is the terrifying moment a shark stalked a crocodile through shallow water off the coast of Australia. The two apex predators were seen by surfer Duncan Brotchie in the Northern Territory, also known as the 'Top End of Australia' last Saturday (April 10). Drone footage shows the tiger shark trailing the croc for around two minutes. Clearly nervous at having the beast on its tail, the croc quickly climbed onto nearby rocks to escape any conflict. Duncan said he was around 10 metres away…

For the last three winters, I've been able to spend a great deal of time with this Canada lynx who has chosen a large private property and heavily forested area as her home range. She is a special and unique animal, and I'm very lucky that she is comfortable with my presence. They are typically very elusive. This photo gives an accurate idea of the amount of action you can expect to see from a Canada lynx for a large portion of the day! I spent quite a few hours sitting in the freezing cold… Smithsonian Photo Contest, Canada Lynx, Funny Animals, Cute Animals, Unique Animals, Wild Ones, Ocean Life, Wildlife Photography, Big Cats
