Celosia Caracas — Plants
Carrie, our Celosia Caracas, provides a lot of impact for very little effort. When she flowers, she erupts in intensely purple, fuzzy flowers. She prefers sunlight but can happily live somewhere a bit more shaded. She'll cope if her soil dries out a bit, though she'd prefer to be watered when her top couple of inches of soil have dried. #outdoorplant #gardenplant #pot #garden {Celosia Caracas}
Chrysanthemum — Plants
Chrysanthemum's are a classic. They've been grown for over 2,000 years for their big rosette-like flowers, which provide colour into the early autumn months. Chrysanthemums don't like a very harsh winter, so consider moving her somewhere warmer if it gets very cold. Water her when the top inch or so of soil is dry. She'll take more water in the growing period to produce all those flowers. #outdoorplant #gardenplant #garden {Chrysanthemum}

Pennisetum Advena — Plants
Addison is a spectacular Fountain Grass. Young leaves are striped with red, pink and green, deepening to a rich maroon as they mature. He's pretty low-maintenance, but doesn't like severe cold, so should be moved somewhere warmer or protected from frost in winter. #outdoorplant #gardenplant #gardenpot #plant {Pennisetum advena}
Hydrandea paniculata — Plants
Alex is a very welcome addition to an urban garden. His cone-shaped flower heads bloom into dozens of tiny creamy-white or pink flowers that dance in the breeze. Alex will take the sunny spot but he is also more than happy in a shadier spot too. #outdoorplant #gardenplant #pot #outdoor {Paniculate hydrangea}
