Sentinel Pine Bridge
The Sentinel Pine Bridge spans a dramatic gorge along the loop trail at the Flime in Franconia Notch, Lincoln, NH. The bridge was built in 1939 and was named after a great pine at the site that was blown over in the 1938 hurricane. The Sentinel Pine along with other blow downs were key components of the structure.
Red Deer - The Boys Are Back In Town
I spent about 6 hours out in the snow yesterday, looking for deer at Woburn. They tend to stay put in weather like this, so I had to be patient, and I was there for about 4 hours or more before they came close enough for these photos. I'm really happy though, as I've never taken any wildlife photos during snowfall before, and despite the obvious difficulties, it really paid off. They're quite different to anything I've done before.

Pemigewasset River Bridge
Last time I was at the Flume the classic view of Mt. Liberty above the bridge was obscured by clouds. I was pleased yesterday that the snow showers let up long enough to see the frozen peak.
