This is a unique antique Chinese Ningxia kilim with metal threads woven during the end of the 19th century circa 1900 and measures 206 x 138CM in size. This piece has a center five-clawed dragon motif, and the field is decorated with traditional Chinese motifs and many clouds all set on a beige background color. the border is decorated with alternating polychrome-colored cloud motifs which correlate to the field design and give the viewer a sense of being transported into the heavens.

This is Shekarlu rug from the Qashqai tribe in southwest Persia and was woven circa 1880. Shekarlu rugs are one of the most sought after rugs from the Qashqai tribe due to the truly tribal design and motifs. The field uses special unique motifs that are exclusive to the Shekarlu sub group. The ivory border creates a present contrast against the ivory field colors. It has been woven on an all wool foundation with 100% wool pile.
