✨Until now NGC 5584 was just one galaxy like many others, which lies to the west of the Virgo cluster. Known only by a series of studies of galaxies, its beauty is now revealed in all its splendor in a new image of the Very Large Telescope. In this pink purple object a large supernova, known as SN 2007af, was detected. Located about 75 million light-years away from Earth, it is located in the constellation of Virgo.
