This is our fabric roll up version of a Montessori Spindle Box. The spindles were made by cutting a thin dowel with pruning shears. The roll up follows that basic idea of a crayon or marker roll up. The snap tab over on the larger right hand pocket will eventually hold small fabric elastics for bundling the spindles, but we aren't quite ready for that step at our house.
