Rope (1948) • James Stewart, Farley Granger, John Dall ——— One of my absolute favorites by Hitchcock. The film-style is remarkable, unrolling rather like a dramatic play than a movie. Also the film is only "cut" in 4 places, which stands to reason that the actors were top notch as Hitchcock is not famous for letting his actors rehearse. Great backwards suspense where you know the killers from the first scene and are impatient to see them caught for their crime.
