Who or what is the Jumbo Shrimp you might ask? The Jumbo Shrimp is not only our mascot, but the inspiration behind the guide. It has three levels of meaning: the first is the notion of taking “jumbo” or complex topics and breaking them down into small manageable "bites”, the second is the homage to the famous Italian Wine guide, Gambero Rosso. Finally, it’s a humorous oxymoron- as you can’t actually have a “jumbo” shrimp, because a shrimp by it's very name means something small!
