Bachelorette Party Recap! - Sarah's Love List

YAY for girl time and allllll the frozen drinks!! I’m so excited for this post today because its going to recap the fun details of my bachelorette weekend, and allow me to relive all the fun! It was definitely one of the best weekends of my life! It was so fun to be surrounded with all of my favorite girls, dance to Justin Bieber, wear Zack face tattoos, and drink cocktails out of disco cups on the beach. We started the party in the Fenway area of Boston (we rented this 3 bedroom Sonder with amazing views of the city) to kick off the weekend, then headed to Martha’s Vineyard on a ferry for the second half! Literally everything on Friday night was perfect and SO much fun! The apartment we were in was beautiful with views of the city, and Polished Balloons made the decor SO much fun with the big BRIDE balloons and the pink balloon arch! The decor was straight out of my pinterest dreams and I was so, so excited about it. Our dress up theme for the night was “Pink and Palm all summer long.” Every girl wore either a pink or palm print dress or romper. It was SO much fun and felt so girly to have everyone coordinated! I wore my current favorite white dress, and my custom rose gold glittery “Future Mrs. Bross” sash and veil from Sassy Sash. For favors, all of the girls got a set of nail wraps from MiniLuxe, which are essentially stickers that perform like nail polish when you put them on your nail. You stick them on, file off the excess, and have super cute nail art once you do! (They could choose between white floral or palm print nail wraps!) We also had custom tattoo‘s with Zack’s cute face and a sombrero. Underneath his photo was the hashtag #getsaucygobrossy. Everyone drank from disco cups (rose gold for everyone, silver with a pink straw for me) and custom wine glasses from Stitched Needham that had everyone’s name on them in metallic pink! We added little pineapple garnishes and made a pineapple coconut cocktail and had a blast! I also wanted to do something special for all of the girls coming, so that’s why I made the matching bracelets for everyone with their names on them! I used this bead kit and this gold bead set from Amazon! All of my girls loved them and wore them all weekend! After we danced around and took photos for a while at the apartment, we headed to one of my FAVORITE Boston restaurants, Citrus & Salt. It is so pink and fun and girly in the inside, perfect for a Bachelorette! After we had our fill of drinks and tacos, we headed back to the apartment to play games! First we had a lingerie shower where each girl gifted me pretty lingerie to wear on our honeymoon. I had to guess who gifted each set (It was so funny how good I was at that! Each girl’s personality shined through, lol!) It was so fun! After the lingerie shower we played Bridal “Things.” One person would read a question aloud like “Things a bridezilla would say at her wedding” or “Things Zack is doing at his bachelor party right now.” Everyone would write down their answer and throw them in a pot. Then we would take turns reading the answers aloud and guessing who said what. If you guess someone right, you get a point, if you guess wrong, the next girl gets to guess. We also played “would you rather” Zack style. My MOH had Zack answer a bunch of would you rather questions, and everyone had to write down what they think Zack said. The goal was to beat me, because obviously I am supposed to know him best. My friend Clarissa and I tied, so Zack is going to come up with a few more to do a tie breaker at our rehearsal dinner =). The next morning we got up and drove to the Martha’s Vineyard ferry, which is about 1 and a half hours south of Boston. We took the 45 minute ferry over to the island, then stopped at The Black Dog Cafe for lunch. After we were full of seafood and french fries, we headed to our house we were renting and put on swimsuits to go to the beach. Our house was walking distance to the beach, so we hung out there all afternoon. We had so much fun soaking up the sun and hanging at the beach, and we grabbed at late dinner and drink at Nancy’s in Oak Bluffs before heading to bed (a little earlier this night) because we spontaneously decided we wanted to wake up to watch the sunrise on Sunday morning. Our morning on the beach we so laid back and relaxing. We listened to some worship music, made a tik tok dance video, and my Maid of Honor brought her laptop for a final, sweet and sentimental game. She would ask me a question like “Sarah, what was your first impression of Zack?” or “What are you most excited about being married?” or “What was your first date like” I would then answer the question, and she had Zack pre-record his answers and send them as videos. After I answered the question, she would play Zack’s answer. It was really fun and special, and my friends said they loved that they felt like they got to know our relationship a little bit more, and really add context to what we had celebrated all weekend. After the beach Sunday morning, we headed out from our little vineyard house. Everyone wrote a note in a little scrapbook next to a polaroid of us. It literally makes me tear up how special these girls are to me and how much I feel so blessed to call them my best friends. They are the most loving, positive and […]
