In 1975, Bruce Wolfe illustrated six surreally colorful and cleverly conceived fairy tale-themed Fender advertisements, depicting a host of fairy tale characters using Fender guitars, basses, amps, and effects units. Elaborately trippy in imagery, these popular ads ran in 1975 and 1976 in publications such as Guitar Player, Rolling Stone, and National Lampoon, and in Fender’s highly collectible Collected Works of Fender 1976 catalog. This ad has Alice in a somewhat disturbing Fenderland.

Fender’s promo department decided to make an update on the classic “You won’t part with yours either” ad series, and came up with modern full color artwork/cartoon advertisements issued between 1973 and 1974, all with a "World’s Favorite" theme. The Fender Precision was indeed (and probably still is) the most influential electric bass of all time, and it is no surprise that Fender promoted it along these lines.

The thirty-six 1962-’63 catalog was Fender’s first full-color offering. The wraparound cover art by Bob Perine pictured the stylistic versatility of Fender gear, a theme that would soon be continued in the more abstract artwork of Neil Boyle. This album-style catalog introduced the Jaguar.

You Can almost hear the music, feel the energy. Neil Boyle's illustrations conjured a dash and verve no other company's imagery could match. Bob Perine identified himself as the Jaguar strummer.

The oldest solid-body animusical in the world, Telecaster ranges from the granite cliffs of Manhattan to the Beverlied hills of LA and beyond. Telecaster was first sighted soaring to unheard-of-altitudes in 1946 and has been observed carrying homo sapiens off to even more startling heights in the thirty years since.
One of the smallest of the species Amplifier Electrica, the Super Twin amp is found wherever the musical climate is hot and sultry. It is particularly fond of prodding animusicals such as Stratocasterus Fender to project their wildest and most full-throated calls until the very treetops sway.
First heard emerging from the spectral depths of creation in 1976, Starcaster abandons the great, grey-green, greasy Limpopo and and relentlessly climbs the charts. Its attack is heightened by a unique semi-hollow body and jaw-popping vocal range which is make it a prized trophy among animusicologists.

The Precision Bass Special was a step up from the regular 1980 P-bass. It featured a new split-coil pickup design, with both active and passive modes; one of the first active Fender bass guitars, "for a whole new concept in tone variation". As well as being electronically advanced, it was a finely appointed bass, with gold hardware throughout, including a new heavy-duty design brass bridge, for "richer overtones" and sustain.
