ALCOHOL: I binge drank in HS and hated myself more and more as my reliance grew stronger and stronger. I made life harder than it should have been for myself by drinking so young (I haven't drank since May 2017). Alcohol is poison (like any substance that alters our mindset). It's disheartening that so many families are affected by alcoholism. "more than 80,000 people die from alcohol-related deaths each year in the US".
