(phase two) The team seeked to understand the existing data of the riverfront by a thorough research analysis of the surrouding territory and of the fluvial axis of the river. By the research analysis it was made possible to identify 3 types of landscape present in the riverfront section of the project: natural, agricultural, urban. (phase two) The team seeked to understand the existing data of the riverfront by a thorough research analysis of the surrouding territory and of the fluvial axis of the river. By the research analysis it was made possible to identify 3 types of landscape present in the riverfront section of the project: natural, agricultural, urban. (It is important to specify that the 3 different types of landscapes are in the same part of the territory, even though they may look disconnected)

Particular attention was given to the Hydraulic risk of the river and to the nearby flood areas, which are the major concern of the thesis. Due to the SWOT analysis (Strength-Weakness-Opportunities-Threats) it was possible to establish the strategy of the project: - Improving the Hydraulic risk (study of floods in order to avoid them) - Rediscovering the fluvial landscape - Realization of the masterplan Study Architecture, Architectural Presentation, Urban Analysis, Site Analysis

Particular attention was given to the Hydraulic risk of the river and to the nearby flood areas, which are the major concern of the thesis. Due to the SWOT analysis (Strength-Weakness-Opportunities-Threats) it was possible to establish the strategy of the project: - Improving the Hydraulic risk (study of floods in order to avoid them) - Rediscovering the fluvial landscape - Realization of the masterplan

(phase three) The working group developing the masterplan tried to resolve territorial issues of the 3 landscape types by unifying them in a greenway. Due to the Masterplan it was possible to identify 3 levels of operations: - Hydraulic safety: enlargement of the riverbanks; achievement of catchment areas; maintenance and cleaning of the river bed; - Ecological corridor - Facilities and services Master Plan, Corridor, Safety
