polymer clay succulent garden

I made this teeny weeny succulent garden to go inside the miniature macrame plant hanger I made from the book Microcrafts. See my book review on my blog :) It's less than 1" diameter, and all colour-mixed polymer clay - no paint!

Tiny Roses -- Sedum spurium 'Tricolor'*

Kathleen has the prettiest succulents. These remind me of the candle holders we used to put on birthday cakes, or roses made of clay... *will add names as I find them.

Ghost Plant (Graptopetalum paraguayense)

Why I Love Ghost Plant (Graptopetalum paraguayense)

Of all the succulents I grow, ghost plants are among the easiest and most remarkable. They are true survivors. Damaged stem? No problem. No water? The plant hunkers down and looks pretty much the same for months. Frost? It's gotten down to 17 degrees in my garden, and the graptopetalums were fine. Urns

Some of the beautiful things I saw while sightseeing with Margie. She'll be going back home to the snow very early tomorrow morning. I will miss her so much! It was such a special privilege to get to spend time with her. She is the sweetest, kindest & most generous soul I've encountered.
