A Superb Egyptian New Kingdom Green Glazed Steatite Scarab , Finely Carved, with a Depiction of a Sphinx on the Base
New Kingdom. Circa 1550-1075 BC. Green glazed steatite scarab (13x9mm). Deeply carved back and base, the latter engraved with a Sphinx and signs meaning “Praise the Lord of the Palace”. Cf.
