A few snap shots of some of my travel experiences!
Alicudi (Sicily) For those of you that don’t know, Alicudi, in the winter time is inhabited by only 2 family, who recently received the gift of electricity. The photograph of the villa that I am sharing with you today, (in my eyes) does not match well with the territory. But, of course, I’d like you to comment on it. Recently our Pope Francis, told us that to be great, one has to realized to be extremely small.
Alicudi (Sicily). When I traveled there, what impressed me was the choices of colors that the habitant used for their homes. In this photograph, you can see that a darker shade of pink color used to paint the house, matched with a blue/avion color for the windows. Farther down, we can spot another home colored in a baby pink and matched with a darker shade of blue. I truly admired the coloring skills of these people.
This is a photo I took on the Island of Salina (Sicily). I remember taking it because I was impressed by these beautiful tiles, which reminded me that Italy has always been a melting pot of cultures throughout the centuries. The porthole on top of the bench, from which you can see a small lighthouse almost seem to suggest to take a break and relax.
The image that you see today is from Panarea, famous worldwide for its night life and attractions for the younger crowds. This image capture my eye because of its incredible colors. Matching chocolate brown, with blue and turquoise is amazing. I also love the boat parked outside the door; I think it’s very catchy.
