A 6-year-old girl has died only weeks after contracting a mysterious disease after being bitten by a tick. Emilee Russell of Black Mountain, N.C. died at a Louisiana hospital Wednesday after a near two-week battle with what doctors suspect to have been Rocky Mountain spotted fever, a rarely seen tick-borne disease.
