Joe Cocker: The British rock-n-roller, who is best known for his cover of the Beatles song "With a Little Help From My Friends", died on Dec. 22. He was 70. Two of his other hits included "You Are So Beautiful" and "Up Where We Belong," the latter of which was in An Officer and a Gentleman and went on to win both a Grammy and an Academy Award. Cocker died at his home in Colorado after a battle with small cell lung cancer. His publicist said in a statement that the singer was "simply unique."
