The Emporia shopping centre in #Malmö, by Swedish #architect Gert Wingardh, is the first realised building from a competition-winning masterplan of proposed housing and office blocks. The building has a strong architectural qualities with its spectacular organic glass entrance and it give to the new area a strong identity.
Three #architecture studios (CEBRA, JDS, Search and Louis Paillard) collaborated together and won in 2008 the competition for the construction of a new residential complex called "Iceberg", in Aarhus. The Danish city has embarked on an ambitious project of restoration and conversion of its port area. The masterplan envisages the construction of new buildings to mixed-use along the entire length of the waterfront and on those who were once the docks.
The J. Mayer H. #Architects conceived this building on a former railway station site in the Belgian city of Hasselt. The building is divided into three separate units containing the courtrooms, student library and the office tower, which also houses a restaurant with panoramic views across the city.
