Johann Georg Tromlitz (1725-1805), was a German flutist, flute maker and composer. He was dissatisfied with the tone and intonation of the bivalve baroque flute. From his student years he was engaged in the construction of flutes. At the end of his career he made a flute with 8 keys which can be considered a precursor of the models developed by Theobald Böhm. As a composer he wrote partitas for solo flute, flute concertos and sonatas for flute, following the style of Quantz and C.P.E. Bach . Portrait, Portraits, Famous, Daniel
